Decades of aging have transformed the perfume - the floral notes are indistinguishable, having melded together into a sweet, powdery, spicy potpourri. The resins have become deeper and more balsamic, and the spiced notes are more intense. Decades ago, the perfume had a bright citrus top, but that's now mellowed to a vague, round-edged hint of bergamot peel. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"jop-noMdConv\"\u003eI love going to antique malls and hunting for old bottles of perfume. Packaged in ornate glass bottles and filled with amber-colored juice, they're a joy to look at..but even more of a joy to smell. A Bouquet Half-Remembered was my attempt at capturing the smell of a well-aged bottle of perfume (without the need to wait decades), while meeting modern IFRA guidelines. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHow a Bouquet Half-Remembered unfolds: A spicy opening that's cinnamic from the cassia and anisic from the fennel seed. Then comes a two-part floral heart - at first spiced and heady from the carnation, jasmine, and ylang, but later mellowing into something more powdery from the violet accord.
