Petal-Kissed: Rose de Mai, Clean Musky Base

Notes: A soft, slightly jammy rose fragrance, heavily featuring Rose de Mai absolute

I looooove a good jammy rose, and I'm pleased to finally add one to my shop! I struggled with creating a perfume like this for quite a while - the turning point was when I purchased real Rose de Mai absolute. It's quite expensive (about $15 per ml), but now that I've smelled it in this perfume, I can never go back!

I extended the Rose de Mai with some Rose Otto, which has a slightly damp, vegetal rosy smell. Imagine rolling rose petals between your fingers until they get all slimy - that's kind of what Rose Otto smells like. Here, though, I just used the tiniest bit, to get that touch of dampness. 

And, of course, there is a "jammy" effect, which I used ethyl maltol, alpha damascone, and berryflor to impart.
