Vibe: You're inside a musical Nutcracker-themed snowglobe. Soft, snowy powder floats around you, landing gently on your skin and tickling your eyelashes. A tinkling melody of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy fills the air.

Sugar Plum Shimmer is quite different from my other fruit-themed perfumes. Rather than being fruit-forward and super realistic smelling, this is primarily a powder and white musk scent, with a sheer sugar plum accord. This perfume contains a lot of heavy vanilla molecules that weigh it down but are long-lasting. It's an intimate skin scent, meant to feel like you've been dusted with a shimmery, slightly fruity-smelling powder.

Sugar Plum Shimmer starts off with sparkling aldehydes hovering over powdery ionones - it smells a little waxy, a little cold, and a touch soapy. It doesn't smell very fruity upon the first spray, but within a few minutes it starts to warm up as a sweet sugared plum note emerges. The sugar plum never comes to the forefront of the perfume, but it melds beautifully to give the powder-musk accord a purple stone fruit tone.

Throughout the wear, the scent becomes less powdery and more creamy, which comes from the white chocolate accord. For a while, it smells like a white chocolate bar studded with little pieces of plum. Toward the end of the wear, the scent becomes quite warm and vanillic, and the plum note is very syrupy - like a hybrid between plum and sticky dates.
