My favorite smell in the world is my backyard during the third week of May.  During this week, the flowers on the frost grape vines reach full bloom, and their intoxicating smell mingles with the smell of Japanese and Amur honeysuckle. The smell is strongest first thing in the morning, when the air is thick and humid. I start off every day that week by stepping outside, closing my eyes, and taking in that heady smell until my nose grows used to it. This perfume is meant to capture that smell - plus a little extra. I used some caramel-smelling materials that show up in the base, to represent the caramel that I make from frost grape blossoms.  

If you haven't had the pleasure of smelling frost grape blossoms, they are the sweetest, most candied-smelling flower I've ever experienced. They smell like honey, sweet wine, and green grape skin, and sometimes I even catch a little hint of grape soda from them! 

Please note - if you're using the EDP version, a little bit goes a long way! When testing the perfume, 4 sprays was strong enough to make me immediately go nose blind, and the smell was diffusive enough that my partner could smell me from about 8 feet away. If you find yourself going nose blind to it easily, try spraying it behind your neck or on your stomach, instead of on the front of the neck/chest.
